1. In short
We set no cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking - neither before nor after any consent. That is also why there is no cookie pop-up on this site: there is nothing to consent to.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We use two values in local storage, which works the same way but is not sent to the server. They are required for the site to work and are described below.
2. The only thing we store
Required for the site to work and to remember your language choice. Needs no consent and is not used to track you.

That is the complete list. There are no other cookies and no other stored values on this website.
3. Google Analytics - without cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. It runs permanently in cookieless mode: all four consent signals in Google's Consent Mode are set to denied and are never changed. No _ga, _ga_* or any other Google cookie is set, and nothing is stored in your browser.
We can see how many page views a page gets, but cannot recognise you across visits or follow you to other websites. Measurement is aggregate. Ad identifiers are not passed on - ads_data_redaction is on.
The cost of that approach is that the "users" and "sessions" figures in Google Analytics are modelled rather than measured. We chose that over asking you to consent to cookies.
4. Cloudflare - also without cookies
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without setting cookies, without storing anything in your browser and without building a profile of you. That is why it needs no consent. It cannot be turned off, but equally it cannot recognise you or follow you to other websites.
5. If you want to restrict this further
There is no consent to withdraw, because we set no cookies and store nothing about you in your browser. If you still want to block the aggregate measurement, block googletagmanager.com and cloudflareinsights.com in your browser or with an ad blocker. The site works fully without them.
